FRESH AIR!
What a relief to have fresh air…
HAPPY NEW YEAR
L’Shana Tova! May you be inscribed for a blessing in the Book of Life.
RUTH BADER GINSBURG
Today, Saturday September 19, 8 PM, Whatcom County Courthouse
Join mourners from around the world as we gather at local courthouses to honor the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Please remember to socially distance and as always, please do not attend unless you are willing to wear a mask. According to Jewish tradition, when someone dies on the eve of Rosh Hashanah it signifies that they were given the full measure of a year an an honor. May her memory be a blessing.
SPARE COMPUTER MONITORS?
Do you have a spare computer monitor you’d be willing to donate or lend to a Bellingham teacher? Teaching on Zoom is challenging, and even more so when you can’t see your students and your teaching materials at the same time. Teachers are finding second monitors invaluable, but our district can not provide them. Do you have one sitting around unused? If so, please contact me at attarmeredith@gmail.com. Thank you so much! ~ Meredith Attar, Eldridge Ave.
SUMMER WINE LILIES
Had to thin them out! They’re in a cardboard box in front of 3000 Lynn St. Very beautiful pink & yellow flowers. Each paper-wrapped package has from 4-6 starts. Put a little bone meal in the spot where you plant each one, an inch or two below the plant’s roots. Enjoy! ~ Jennifer Dannenberg
BLACK SUNFLOWER SEEDS
Free – 5# bag for the birdies. Fl!p 360-671-4511
FREE THORNLESS BLACKBERRY CUTTINGS
I just cut my blackberries way back, and have lots of cuttings available if anyone would like to propagate some plants for next year. Varieties are Triple Crown and Loch Ness – which bear large fruit, are thornless, and non-invasive. Located in the alley behind 2311 Cherry St.
~ Nate Melanson, Cherry St
SEWING MENTOR?
A younger friend of mine (who I just love) is seeking someone who can guide her some basics in learning to sew her own clothing. Volunteers would be best, or someone who would be willing to trade for some light housekeeping/gardening or assistance with errands. Contact me, and I’ll put you in touch. Fl!p 360-671-4511
SCOOTER IS HOME
Of course, Scooter was NEVER lost–simply camped out under the deck for the night. The breakfast bell was all he needed to come up for air. Thanks for your concern, everyone. ~ Tim Douglas
RADIO FREE FL!P: TIME TO GO
By Larry Penn. I learned it from Richard Scholtz. This one is sung by someone else, but they do a good job. Start about 30 seconds in…
