ALERT: LOST KITTY

Missing our sweet kitty. Has anyone seen our kitty Mavis?  She’s a tuxedo female 1 year and 2 months old.  She has a broken tail (broken at birth) and was wearing a pink skull collar with a little bell when we last saw her yesterday. She is very shy and skittish and usually home about 12 times during the day to eat! And she’s locked in at night.  She is chipped.  We live between Jefferson and Monroe on Elizabeth Street. bellingham.craigslist.org/pet/d/bellingham-lost-kitty/7215270870.html ~  ~ Debbie Alleman, 360 -739-4406  allemandebbie@gmail.com

SHAKE OUT!

That long siren yesterday was for National Shake Out Day! And I MISSED it!!! But it’s not too late. We can actually do this any time. But it does take doing. National Shake Out Day is a practice exercise for earthquakes. In each room of your house or office, you practice Drop, Cover & Hold. Make a plan now, in advance. This website will guide you through it.  https://www.shakeout.org/washington/

BENEFIT YARD SALE RESULTS

Yesterday’s yard sale for the Bellingham Food Bank was a success! Our collaborative efforts paid off, and dozens of generous neighbors contributed a total of $857 to help those in need of food in our town. Amazing! Thank you to all who put checks or cash in the mailbox on the fence, and for wearing face masks while shopping. Special thanks to John Roberts for delivering two truck-loads of items to the sale. Although most items found a home, there are two dog igloos on my parking strip on Williams Street, if anyone needs one for a small or medium-sized dog. Again, thanks to everyone who contributed to the food bank. ~ Zip Jelineo, Corner of Williams and Washington
