BUSINESS SHOUT-OUTS

The GOJI BISTRO  is a hidden gem over by WCC. The food is freshly made and delicious every time. I got takeout there last week and was impressed by how easy, safe and efficient the process was. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. ~ Sally Higgins

WINDWORKS at Meridian and Monroe has been skilled and helpful with all of my clarinets. When I bought a junk clarinet on eBay because it had a really good mouthpiece, they rummaged through their tub of sound barrels and found the perfect one to make it work with my regular clarinet. They have been lightning quick every time my alto and contra alto clarinets have gone out of whack, and they turned an old Albert system C clarinet from a wall hanging to a well-functioning tool of klezmer. They’ve also been really helpful as I started getting back into harmonica. As for my main instrument, mandolin, I got mine long before they carried such things, but I’d have no hesitation in recommending them now. And they do have a good selection of ukuleles, sheet music, picks and strings. ~ Zeke Hoskin, Cherry Street

ST PAUL’S PARADE

Hi neighbors, St Paul’s Episcopal Church at 2117 Walnut St. is hosting a Drive-by Farewell Parade for our rector (priest) in our parking lot on Sunday, August 23, 12-1pm. We’ve divided up the time slots by last name to try to minimize a pile-up of cars. We will have people along the way wearing orange vests and holding posters (there may be cheering and clapping!). Please let us know ahead of time if you have any concerns and we thank you for being our neighbors! – Amelia Vader, Junior Warden, amelia.vader@gmail.com or 206-218-2657.

STOLEN BIKE

We had an adult bike stolen from our yard last night.  Gray bike with a white seat for a *very* tall person, single speed.  It has hamburger bells. It was not locked up last night.  If you spot it, we’d love to know.  ~ Jessi Rado ~ 2300 block of Park St.

FREE FOAM MATTRESS TOPPER – QUEEN SIZE

Purchased at Costco about 4 years ago. It’s still in good shape, we just don’t have use for it any more. Text/email to arrange pick-up.
